Musical Moments

"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music."

Ok, a little bit cheesey I know. But this reminds me so much of being at school when I was little. We always used to to play S Club 7, and have massive arguments over who got to be who.

They were always settled by, “well, I have ___ coloured hair so I look most like ____.”

This song always makes me think of the Hunger Games - partly because I listened to Laura Marling excessively when I was reading the books, but then I looked at the lyrics a bit more closely.

“Why fear death? Be scared of living, our hearts are small and ever thinning, there is no hope ever of winning, oh why fear death? Be scared of living.”

It just seems exactly how a tribute would feel in the arena, and in my mind it fits perfectly.

Hola.

The point of this blog is simple - it’s to make a record of all your ‘musical moments.’

Everyone has certain songs that remind them of something/someone, from a song that always makes you think of a book you used to read obsessively to a song that you immediately connect with heartbreak.

So submit a song - title/video/even just lyrics - with a description explaining what moment that music makes you think of.
